Scottish Acting Agents

Approaching an agent can be challenging, and it's important to be prepared for the possibility of not hearing back. However, perseverance is key, so keep trying.

To catch the agent's attention, make your email subject line stand out. For example, you could use "Exciting New Prospect: Lee Harris" and mention a positive theatre review in the body of the email.

If you don't have a professional review, consider asking a friend to review your showreel and quote their feedback. When composing the email, keep it concise and straightforward.

Agents are often busy, so a brief and engaging message is more likely to capture their attention.

Remember, they may form an initial impression based on your photo, so ensure you attach a professional and flattering headshot.

Include all relevant links to your materials, such as your Spotlight profile or any online portfolios.

These links make it easier for the agent to access and evaluate your work. Additionally, attach two contrasting headshots that showcase different aspects of your appearance and range.

Please note that while these tips can enhance your chances of getting noticed, there is no guarantee of a response or representation.

Persistence, continuous improvement, and networking within the industry are also essential components of a successful acting career.
